Central Park Proposal Pedicab — Private Ride to Bow Bridge

The Proposal Package is $100 per person with a two-guest minimum — $200 for the couple. That flat rate includes the private pedicab, the driver brief, the photo stop, and free cancellation up to 24 hours. No tipping pressure, no surprise fees.

Most couples choose Bow Bridge — it is the most-photographed proposal spot in the park, with the Manhattan skyline framed behind you. Other popular options are Bethesda Fountain (best early morning for privacy), Shakespeare Garden (quietest), Cherry Hill (skyline views), and the west shore of The Lake. You tell us during booking, and we brief the driver.

We always prep a backup spot. If a wedding shoot, film crew, or large tour group is camped on the bridge when you arrive, your driver will pivot to your second-choice spot without saying anything to break the moment. You are in control — give a small nod, and they will redirect.

Yes — included in every booking. Hand your phone to the driver before the proposal moment, and they will capture from a respectful distance, with multiple angles during the photo stop. If you want professional photos, you can bring your own photographer and we will coordinate timing and the GPS pin.

Free reschedule, no questions asked. Pedicabs have weather covers for light rain, and your driver knows the dry spots — Bethesda Terrace's lower arcade is covered and acoustically beautiful. If it is a downpour, we move your booking to the next clear day at no charge.

We do not assign a named driver in advance — but a proposal is never a curbside pickup either. Once the booking is in we arrange the ride, and your driver contacts you beforehand with your plan in hand, so nothing gets lost in translation.

Absolutely. Tell us at booking and we will send your photographer the exact GPS pin, the approach timing, and a signal protocol so they are ready when the driver stops. This coordination is included in every booking.

Two weeks is comfortable. One week works for weekday rides. Weekends in May, June, September, and October book up fast — proposal volume peaks during those months. If you want to lock in a specific golden-hour date, book as early as you can.

Two safe options. (1) Keep the ring on you the entire ride — most couples do this. Pedicabs have shallow seats with no compartments your partner can see into, and a jacket pocket is enough. (2) Hand the box to the driver during the discreet hello at pickup — the driver keeps it out of your partner's sightline and hands it back to you at the photo stop. Tell us at booking which you prefer.

We do not recommend it. The whole value of a planned proposal pedicab is the brief — driver knows the spot, photos are pre-coordinated, the route is timed. Walk-ins lose all of that. If you are already in the park, book online instead: same-day slots are bookable as long as the start time is at least 2 hours away, which is also the notice we need to brief a driver properly.
